Alice C. Foschetti December 12, 1918 - May 27, 2016

Alice C. Foschetti, 97, of Allentown, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016.  She was the wife of the late Felix P. Foschetti.  Born in Allentown, one of four children, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Julian (Shanta) Simitz.  A 1936 graduate of Central Catholic High School, she attended Immaculata College and was involved with the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II.  Alice and her husband owned the family business, the West End Hotel, for 50 years prior to retiring in 2002.  She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, was an avid knitter and loved the beach and swimming.  She was a member and former president of the Penguin Figure Skating Club and enjoyed performing in its shows.  She was a U. S. Figure Skating Intermediate judge for many years.  Survivors: son, Dr. Felix, Jr., and wife, Frances, Washington NJ; daughters, Mary Alice Breidinger and husband, Chas, Bethlehem, Julianne C. Kowal and husband, Stephan, Butler NJ; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.  Services: 1 PM Friday in the chapel of Sacred Heart Hospital, 421 W.
