David P. Perry, Sr. January 21, 1927 - July 18, 2017

David P. Perry, Sr., 90, of Allentown, passed away in his home Tuesday, July 18, 2017.  He and his wife, Jean M. (Skeoch), celebrated their 30th anniversary.  He was previously married to the late Marilyn A. (Mayer) for 34 years.  Born in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Richard E. and Ada P. (Brandt) Perry.  A 1945 graduate of Allentown High School, David was a Navy veteran of World War II and earned the rank of Specialist First Class.  Prior to retiring in 1987, he was employed as a purchasing manager at Mack Trucks, Inc. for 28 years.  After retirement, he served as a consultant for more than ten years.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #576 for 67 years, Catholic War Veterans Post #1067, Knights of Columbus, and Cetronia Fire Co. #1.  Survivors: wife, sons, David, Jr. and companion, Susana Ruiz, Charles R. and wife, Cathy; daughters, Patricia A. Remaly, Suzanne T. Williams and fiancée, Joseph Miller, Lisa M.; step-son, Alvin D. Rawson and wife, Jennifer; step-daughter, Jane P. Schembri and husband, Vince; brother, Peter R. and wife, Janice; sister-in-law, Mary; grandchildren, Ceale, Thomas, Colton, Jenae, Brett, Ryan, Nicholas, Michael.  He was Pop-Pop to Mary and Julia.  Brother, Richard P., and sister, Patricia Schimenek, preceded him in death.  Services: Please join the Perry family in a Celebration of Life honoring David on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 12 – 3 PM in the Cetronia Fire Co. #1 social hall.  Light refreshments will be served.  Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.  Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to Cetronia Volunteer Fire Dept.
