Delphine W. Metzger March 13, 1923 - July 24, 2017

Delphine W. Metzger, 94, of Allentown, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, in her home.  She was the wife of the late Robert E. Metzger.  Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Ida E. (Weaver) Fairchild.  A 1941 graduate of Allentown High School, she was employed at WSAN as a receptionist prior to retirement.  A member of Hope United Church of Christ, Delphine was a Red Cross volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital and Phoebe Home for 25 years.  Survivors: son, William R., Allentown; nephew, Reverend Barry Lynn, MD.  Daughter, Janet Louise, and sister, Edith C. Lynn, preceded her in death.  Services: 11 AM Saturday, August 5^th, at Hope Church, 1031 Flexer Ave.  Call 10 AM until service time.  Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.  Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to church, 18103.
