Doris (Dori) A. Keiper April 26, 1954 - August 30, 2017

Doris (Dori) A. Keiper, 63, passed away Wednesday, August 30th, in her home under hospice care following an extended illness with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Gary F. Keiper. Born in Danville, PA, she was the daughter of Mary (Kopey) and the late Andrew Yastishok. Dori received a B.A. in elementary education from Cedar Crest College and an M.Ed. in elementary school counseling from Lehigh University. She coordinated and taught Vacation Bible Camp for many years in her church, taught adult and student Bible studies, and hosted Child Evangelism in her home. Dori also worked for the Center for Humanistic Change and most recently for Kids Peace as a family counselor. She was a member of the Positive Discipline Association and the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. A strong believer in the art of encouragement, Dori has helped many realize that they are not victims of circumstances but are able to determine the outcome of their life events by the choices they make.

Survivors: Husband, Gary F.; Mother: Mary of Allentown; Sons: Jonathan A. Keiper and wife Christy of St. Marys; David M. Keiper and wife Caitlin of Philadelphia; Daniel M. Keiper and wife Melissa of Philadelphia; Sisters: Sonia M. Iudicello and husband Joseph of Allentown, Janet A. Bantseev and husband Ilya of Novokuznetsk, Siberia, Russia; Brother: Mark A. Yastishok of Allentown; 3 Grandchildren: Avelyn, Caleb, and Judah.

Services: Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc. 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown, PA. Call 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home.
