Dorothy June Fagan June 20, 1922 - September 24, 2016

Dorothy June Fagan (Dorie) passed away peacefully Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Luther Crest Health Care Center surrounded by her beloved family.

Born June 20, 1922 in Port Jefferson, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Henrietta (Boll) Siebert. She was the third of five children.

She was married to Clarence Patrick Besemer for forty-seven years.  They lived in Sayville, N.Y. where they raised their three children.  Moving to West Lebanon, N.Y in 1964, they owned and operated “Pat’s Place” a successful family restaurant.   They retired to Florida where Pat passed away in 1987.

She met and married Quentin E. Fagan of Fort Pierce Florida. They shared eleven happy years until his death in 2001.

Dorothy had a passion for painting and enjoyed capturing nature on canvas with oil paints. She was an accomplished organist, seamstress, hairdresser, a voracious reader, and an avid traveler.  Dorothy’s grandchildren share fond memories of her vivid storytelling and colorful imagination.

Dorothy moved to Pennsylvania to be close to her family.   She became part of the Luther Crest Family where she cultivated friendships and was an active volunteer.  She met and was united with Walter Tesche. They shared thirteen years, participating in social activities at Luther Crest and traveling.  He was a kind and loving caregiver during her illness.

Survivors:  Walter Tesche; Daughter: Judith L. Arangio (George A., M.D.) of Fogelsville; Son: Joel Patrick Besemer (Christine R.) of East Chatham, N.Y.; Grandchildren: James Patrick Besemer II (Christina); Joseph A. Arangio (Sharon), Julianna L. Harrison (Thomas); Kathleen D. Kunz (Brian); Patrick I. Arangio (Elizabeth); Matthew Joel Besemer (LeAnna); Daniel Patrick Besemer and 15 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by: Son: James Patrick Besemer; Siblings: Virginia C. Siebert, Ruth E. Watson, Frank L. Siebert, Jr., and Anne M. Schwan.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Service from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Crest Hall, Luther Crest Senior Living Community, 800 Hausman Rd., Allentown, PA.
