Edgar W. Stephens August 18, 1927 - May 31, 2017

Edgar W. Stephens, 89, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Born in Cetronia, he was a son of the late Fred J. and Edna M. (Zimmerman) Stephen. Edgar was a graduate of South Whitehall H.S. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Army 5^th Air Corps. Edgar was a manager and unit controller for Sears Roebuck for 42 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Cathedral, Allentown. Mr. Stephens was a life member of VFW Post #4908 and also a former member of Northwest Little League.

Dad, you were always there for us giving the best care and advice; from gardening tips on roses to the love of big band music and the joy of bird watching. You instilled in us the importance of family and friends. All the way from Cetronia, PA you made it to Japan in the Army Air Corps as a flight engineer in WW2. Your children Kathy, Mike and Joe will miss you. You will live in us always and for that, we will be forever grateful. We will always love you.

Survivors: Sons: Michael W. and his wife Denise of Allentown, Joseph H. and daughter-in-law Chrissy of Allentown; Daughter: Kathryn Ann Dansby and her husband Gordon of Sicklerville, NJ; Grandchildren: Michael Jr. (deceased), Christopher, Abigail, Aimee, Joseph Jr., Carol, Katrina, Janelle; Great granddaughter: Adelynn; Sister: Barbara Glick of Allentown. Edgar was predeceased by brothers Fred Jr. and Donald and by a sister Pauline.
