Elwood W. “Woody” Grube April 4, 1923 - March 11, 2017

Elwood W. “Woody” Grube, 93, of Fellowship Community, Whitehall and formerly of Allentown, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the L.V. Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Gloria M. (Schaffer) Grube. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Mertie (Strawn) Grube. Woody was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Allentown H.S. and Eckels Mortuary School. Mr. Grube worked at Pennsylvania Supply for over 50 years. He began as a salesman, became an executive and retired as a co-owner in 1998. Woody was a member of Jordan UCC, Allentown where he was a volunteer with the Peace Garden. He was also a member of the former St. Andrews UCC, where he was involved with many activities including: building and grounds, Sunday School teacher and Superintendent and a member of Consistory. Woody was a volunteer at Phoebe Home and with Meals-On-Wheels.

Survivors: Sons: Dennis L. and his wife Carol of Fogelsville, Jeffrey C. and his wife Cindy of Allentown, Terrence C. and his wife Sandra of Bethlehem, Dale S. and his wife Susan of Allentown; Brother: Raymond and his wife Lucille of Allentown; Grandchildren: 11; Great-grandchildren: 19; and many Step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; Companion: Louise Reinhard. Elwood was predeceased by a brother Wilmer.
