Ethel I. Senger December 4, 1935 - April 24, 2017

Ethel Irene Senger, 81, of Upper Macungie Township, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of David G. Senger. They would have celebrated their 52^nd wedding anniversary this June.  Ethel was born in Allentown a daughter of the late Claude and Irene (Tench) Frey and her step-mother who raised her Bertha Frey. She was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1953. Ethel was employed during her career as a Bank Teller, Head Teller, Branch Assistant Manager and retired as a Branch Manager from Mellon Bank in 1973. She and her husband owned and operated the La Belle Fleur Gift Shop for many years. Ethel was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Macungie. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was greatly loved by all.  Her main interests in life were her home and her family.

Survivors: Husband; daughters, Carol Knipe of Allentown, Cheryl and her husband Michael Deitz of Kutztown; sister, Jean Dunton of Allentown; grandchildren, Denielle and her husband Alex Andujar, Rebekah and her husband Isaac Westdorp, Justin Knipe and Micah Deitz; ten great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her sons Robert and Stephen and her sisters Alma Frey and Joyce Mayers.

Services:  10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. www.stephensfuneral.com.
