Frank W. Takatsch March 3, 1920 - September 23, 2016

Frank W. Takatsch, 96, of Allentown, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 in the Cedarbrook Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Anna M. (Keglovitz) Takatsch.  Frank was born in Allentown a son of the late Emerich and Theresa (Trinkle) Takatsch.  He was a platform man for Jones Motor Freight and a custodian for Finance America before retiring. Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Parish, Allentown. Frank was a member of the St.  Aloyius Young Men’s Society. He volunteered at the Mercy School for Special Learning playing Santa for many years. Frank enjoyed going to the casinos at Atlantic City and the Mohegan Sun. He loved his nut strudel, pierogies and his Hershey bars.

Survivors: Sister, Margaret T. Unger of Allentown. He cherished the role of being an uncle and godfather to his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Albert, Edward and Emerich, Jr.

Services:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday in the St. Stephen of Hungary Parish 510 West Union Street, Allentown. Call 9:30 – 10:30 in the church.
