Harold A. Schaeffer April 27, 1924 - December 23, 2016
Harold A. Schaeffer, 92, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016, in Memory Care of Easton. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Grace E. (Shearer) Schaeffer. A World War II Army veteran, he earned the rank of Private First Class. Harold served as a medic in the Mediterranean Theater, was a POW in Germany and was a Purple Heart recipient. Survivors: nephew, Wayne W. and wife, Gale M., Orefield. Brothers, Luther and wife, Dorothy, Arland R., Sr. and wife, Ruth M., and nephew, Arland, Jr., preceded him in death. Services: graveside, 2 PM Tuesday, Highland Memorial Park, 1441 Roth Ave. Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.
