Howard E. Lilly II October 3, 1943 - March 5, 2017

Howard Edward Lilly II, A. K. A. Tiger Lilly, A. K. A. H. H. Lilly, 73, of Zionsville, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, in the inpatient hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown, after battling mantle cell lymphoma for 6 ½ years.  He and his wife, Paula A. (Christman), were married 49 ½ years. Born October 3, 1943, in Oak Park IL, he was a son of the late Howard and Helen (White) Lilly.  He was a 1961 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School, Allentown.  An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Howard was stationed in San Antonio TX and Anchorage AK and earned the rank of sergeant.  He owned Pc/Pbx Lilly and was previously a field engineer for Honeywell and Datapoint Corp.  He was a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ.  He was a 4-H leader and drag, snowmobile, sportsman, late model, mini stock, and modified stock driver.  He was an owner/driver of the number 18 modified stock car.  He ran at Vargo, Hatfield, Allentown Fairgrounds, Grandview, Watkins Glen, Atlantic City, Dorney Park, Nazareth, Reading, Evergreen, Big Diamond, and Wall Stadium.  Howard went RVing with Paula at French Creek State Park, Harpers Ferry KOA (WV), Atlantic City, Gettysburg, Knoebels, and Pinch Pond.  Survivors: wife; three sons, Howard III (Jammie), Westfield MA, Troy (Brandy), Salem MA, Michael (Ann Marie), Paoli; five grandchildren, Nathanael, Emma, Isabella, Connor, Sean; brothers, David (Brenda), Edward (Donna), Allentown.  Services: 11 AM Saturday, March 25th, in Old Zionsville UCC, 5981 Fountain Rd.  Old Zionsville PA 18068.  Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.  Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to church.
