James L. Farnsworth, Sr. December 18, 1927 - August 8, 2016

James L. Farnsworth, Sr., 88, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Blue) Farnsworth. They celebrated their 66^th wedding anniversary in September 2015. Born in Shamokin, he was a son of the late John and Kathryn (Long) Farnsworth. James was an assembly line worker at Mack Trucks for 16 years before retiring in 1988. After retiring from Mack Trucks, he drove a school van for the Allentown School District. James was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Zion UCC, Allentown. Mr. Farnsworth was a charter member of the Y Dive’s Club and a former assistant Scout Master for several years.

Survivors: Wife, Joyce; Daughters: Susan L. Christoff and her husband Walter J. of Bethlehem, Karen M. Zunski and her husband Rick of Bechtelsville; Son: James L. Farnsworth, Jr. and his wife Christine of Emmaus; Grandchildren: Amy, Kevin, Eric, Brooke, Ian, Maxwell. Great-grandsons: Elijah, Gideon, Levi, Jesse, Luke, Logan; Step-grandchildren: Rachel, Emily, Kate, Brad.
