Jean F. Steckel February 23, 1921 - January 30, 2017

Jean F. Steckel, 95, of Allentown, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 in the St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Richard W. “Buddy” Steckel. Jean was born in Allentown, a daughter of the late William and Emma (Schiffert) Whitehouse. She was a sewing machine operator for the former R. and F. Dress Factory, Allentown for 37 years before retiring in 1976.  She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, her doll collection and most importantly attending her great-grandsons’ activities.

Survivors: Son, Ronald R. Steckel of Allentown; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons. She was pre-deceased by her many brothers and sisters.
