Jean L. Olesen October 10, 1933 - December 30, 2016

Jean L. Olesen, 83, formerly of Center Valley, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 in Westminster Village at Allentown. She was the wife of the late Walter H. Olesen. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Alma B. (Kennedy) Gilbert. Jean was an Administrator Captain for the Upper Saucon Ambulance Corp. for 28 years before retiring in 2004. Previously, she was a nurse and served various physicians in the Lehigh Valley area for 25 years. She was a member of Faith U.C.C., Center Valley where she was a former Youth Leader. Jean was a former volunteer with the Red Cross and VNA of Allentown. She was a former member of Northampton County 4-H and was awarded the Outstanding Female 4-H Member in 1953.

Survivors: Brothers: John R. Gilbert of San Antonio, TX, Robert Gilbert and his wife Paula of Tavares, FL; Sister: Ruthmary and her husband James Male, Sr. of Belleview, FL. Jean is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Wayne Gilbert.
