John F. Leitgep December 17, 1954 - May 15, 2017
John F. Leitgep, 62, of Allentown, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, in St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Walter and Evelyn T. (Gaffney) Leitgep. Prior to retiring in December 2016, he was employed by the Allentown School District for more than 15 years. John and brother, Richard, owned and operated the former Quebec Sportswear. Survivors: brother, William J., Topton; sisters, Carol A. Heller and husband, Ronald, Sr., Slatington, Patricia J., widow of Ronald C. Handwerk, Kutztown; nieces; nephews. Brother, Richard E., and sister, Gail L. Briele, preceded him in death. Services: 10:30 AM Friday in STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 274 N. Krocks Rd. Call 9:30 AM until service time. Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to funeral home to assist with expenses, 18106.
