Lloyd Wilson Keiper, Jr. January 23, 1929 - July 11, 2017

Lloyd Wilson Keiper, Jr., 88, of Mohrsville and formerly of Allentown, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Oswald) Keiper. They would have celebrated their 67^th wedding anniversary this week. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wilhemina (Simon) and Lloyd Wilson Keiper, Sr. Lloyd was a graduate of Allentown H.S. and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was chosen to use his training in Morse Code and Ham Radio. Mr. Keiper was a tool and die maker at Western Electric and retired from Lucent Technology in 1986 after 39 years with the company. He was a member of Salem U.M. Church, Allentown and New Temple Lodge #720 F.&A.M.

Survivors: Wife, Betty Jane; Daughters: Candese I. Rau and her husband John of Stevens, PA, Barbara E. Rogers and her husband Rick of Palmerton, Anita D. Keiper of Muhlenberg Twp.; Grandchildren: Stephen D. Rau, Lisa M. McDaniel, Wendy C. Martin, Cynthia L. Fillgrove, Nicole R. Fava; Great grandchildren: 7; Brother: Kenneth R. Keiper and his wife Joan of Allentown; Sister: Marion Dickert of Allentown.

Services: A viewing will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, with a Masonic Service at 10:30, followed by the funeral service. www.stephensfuneral.com.
