Marian J. Steigerwalt June 26, 1922 - April 18, 2017

Marian J. Steigerwalt, 94, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2107, in Phoebe Allentown.  She was predeceased by her husband, Bertine B. Steigerwalt.  Marian was born in Lehighton, a daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Ruch) Snyder.  She was a nurse at Haff Hospital and with Dr. Kline.  Marian was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Allentown.  She enjoyed writing and had some of her poetry published.  Survivors: Son, Alan Steigerwalt of Columbus, OH; sister, Elaine Hauser of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Daniel, Kathryn and John; great-grandson, Jameson Downey.  She was predeceased by her brother, Dale Snyder.  Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Friday in the funeral home.  There will be a celebratory  lunch at the Parkland restaurant immediately after the service.  Contributions: to the Phoebe Home.
