Marie C. Embon December 3, 1939 - November 4, 2016

Marie C. Embon, 76, of Allentown, died on Friday, November 4, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She and her husband, Frank C. Embon, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in October.  Born in Allentown, the youngest of eight children, she was a daughter of the late Leopold and Eleanor (Krenn) Strobel.  She attended St. Catherine of Siena School and Allentown Central Catholic High School where she graduated from the Commercial Program in 1957.  Marie was employed at PP&L as a secretary for six years.  A member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, she was a volunteer for its school lunch program.  She was also a member of the Young Women’s Club of Allentown and the Jaycee Wives of Allentown.  Survivors: husband; daughters, Christine M., Allentown, Jennifer L. Saturno, Baltimore MD; sons, Gregory F., Allentown, Brian M., San Diego CA; granddaughter, Kaley Embon; brothers, Edward and Walter, Allentown, James, Pottstown; sister, Margaret Bearish, Emmaus.  Brother, Raymond, and sisters, Eleanor Dietz and Irene Kutish, preceded her in death.  Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM Saturday at church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown 18103.  Call 10 AM until Mass at church and 7 – 9 PM Friday in STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 274 N. Krocks Rd.  Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, 547 N.
