Ralph A. Heffley November 26, 1930 - July 7, 2017

Ralph A. Heffley, 86, formerly of Allentown, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Dorothy J. (Morgan) Heffley of Topton. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in June 2017. Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Ralph and Edith (Fister) Heffley. Ralph was a graduate of Kutztown H.S., Class of 1948. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Ralph had numerous employment opportunities. He was at one time a milkman and was an insurance agent for many years. He was a State Farm Insurance Agent and also sold All-State Insurance. He also owned Heffley Insurance Co. and sold Motorists Mutual Insurance, Firemen’s Fund and Aflac thru his company. He wrote policies for Martin VW and was a courier for Marcon Management. Ralph was a courier and manager for several different gas stations and worked at the L.V. Post Office for several years. He owned Arnold’s Bakery Thrift Shop in Whitehall. Ralph and his brother owned Travel Clean, pressuring washing vehicles. He worked at the L.V. Post Office for several years. Mr. Heffley was a very involved member of Victory Family Church, Whitehall and was a member of Seipstown Grange.

Survivors: Wife; Daughters: Mary Ann Rothermel and her husband David of New Haven, MO, Barbara L. Yeakel and her husband Chet III of Fogelsville; Grandchildren: 10; Great grandchildren: 24; Sister: Elaine Musser of Topton; Brothers: Colin and his wife Judy of Kutztown, David of Milton, DE, Malcolm of Northampton. Ralph was predeceased by a sister Priscilla Messick and by brothers Lowell and Donald.
