Raymond H. Shive September 10, 1938 - January 5, 2017

Raymond H. Shive, 78, of Wescosville and formerly of Lansdale, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the life-partner of Lois A. Albright for the past 26 years. Born in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Phares A. and Ruth (Emert) Shive, and a step-son of the late Louise G. Shive. Raymond was a graduate of North Penn H.S., Lansdale and a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Shive was a machinist, then a computer programmer for the machinists at the Defense Company, AEL in Colmar for many years before retiring in 2005. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lansdale. Raymond enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the L.V. B&B’s Square and Round Dance Club. He loved to travel, go fishing and be outdoors, especially on the water. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a flagman and timer at the drag races.

Survivors: Life-partner, Lois A. Albright of Wescosville and her sons, Joe Kudla and his wife Deborah of Lehighton and Brian Albright and his wife Amy of Charlotte, NC; Son: Raymond J. “Randy” Shive of Telford; Brothers: Richard Shive and his wife Lorie, Bill Shive, all of Lansdale; Step-sister: Edith St. Clair of Tunkhannock. Raymond was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Shive.
