Sharon L. Goetz September 20, 1946 - May 11, 2017

Sharon L. Goetz, 70, of Allentown, passed away May 11, 2017 at Sacred Heart by Saucon Creek surrounded by her loving family.  She was the companion of John Cowitch Sr., of Northampton.  Born September 20, 1946 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Evelyn A. (Heinly) Phillips.

Sharon graduated from William Allen High School in 1964 and later worked at global cement and mineral engineering company, FLSmidth Inc. (formerly Fuller Co.), for 29 years in various IT roles, including LAN administrator, before retiring in 2009.  After retirement, she worked part-time at Wegmans in Allentown, and enjoyed her free time bowling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two children, Michael J. and his wife Michelle L. Goetz of Parker, CO, and Melissa S. and her husband William J. Coyle Jr. of Coopersburg.  Also surviving, are her sisters, Lucille C., widow of Stephen I. Stupak of Sinking Spring, and Sylvia A., wife of Kenneth A. Roth of Allentown, as well as four grandchildren; John Coyle, Emily Coyle, Ethan Goetz and Jordan Goetz.

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown.  Call 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at stephensfuneral.com.
