Sheri Ann Bushner April 27, 1957 - June 7, 2017

Sheri Ann Bushner, 60, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in her South Side Allentown Home. She was the wife of James A. Bushner. They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in July 2016. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of former Allentown Chief of Police David M. Howells, Sr. and Sherri G. (Harland) Howells of Allentown. Sheri was a graduate of Dieruff High School where she was a member of the band and was on the swim team. She has been an employee of Lehigh University, Office of Research & Sponsored Programs since March 1st 1985. Sheri spent over 50 years with Mountainville Memorial Association. She was a former athlete and spent many years as a volunteer. She was a board member for many years and served as secretary. She volunteered as a cheerleading coach, hall rental coordinator and was always ready to do anything to help the kids. Sheri was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Allentown. She was an Avon sales representative for over 30 years. Sheri was involved with Greyhound rescue for over 15 years. She was the Lehigh County Judge of Election for 20 years for the 19-5 Ward at Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church.

Survivors: Husband; Parents; Daughter: Kimberly Ann and her husband Clifford Kurdes of Allentown; Son: Mark A. Bushner of Allentown; Grandchildren: Trent, Lyla and Luke Kurdes; Siblings: Sandi G. Malay and her husband Mike of Brooksville, FL, David M. Howells, Jr. and his wife Terri of Allentown, Suzanne M. Raftery of Allentown.

Services:  Funeral – Wednesday, June 14th, 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 920 S. 2nd St., Allentown 18103. Call – Tuesday, June 13th, 6 – 8 pm at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown. www.stephensfuneral.com.
