Thelma M. Smith July 14, 1929 - September 18, 2017

Thelma M. Smith, 88, of Allentown, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of David O. E. Smith.  They were married for 70 years last July.  Thelma was born in Fogelsville a daughter of the late Clarence and Miriam (Troxell) Reichelderfer.  She was a member of Cedar Union United Church of Christ, Allentown. Thelma was a member of the TOPS Group and the Red Hats Society.  She and her husband co-founded the East Penn Jeep Club in 1962.  Thelma enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.  Thelma was responsible for organizing all of her families many activities.  Her children are so very grateful for all the sacrifices and opportunities she provided them during their childhoods.

Survivors: Husband; sons, David M. and his wife Nancy L. Smith of Allentown, Daniel Smith of Orefield; daughters, Diane C. and her husband Donald K. Conley of Allentown, Sandra A. DiGloria of Allentown; grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Sarah, Aaron, Jill, Michelle and Melissa; six great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her brother Mervin C. Reichelderfer.
