Walter R. Huber March 24, 1927 - May 2, 2017

Walter R. Huber, 90, of Allentown, died peacefully in his sleep on May 2, 2017 at the home of his niece Carol Laudenslager and her husband Rick with whom he resided. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wesley E. and Mary Elizabeth (Wittman) Huber. Walter was a graduate of Allentown H.S. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Marine Corps in the Asian Theater. Mr. Huber was a life-long member of American Legion Post #576, Allentown, where he served with the honor guard for 30 years. He was a lineman for PP&L for 42 years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Huber was very active with the Guthsville Rod & Gun Club. Walter won several National Pistol and Rifle Awards at Camp Perry in Ohio. He was an avid reader, he especially enjoyed biographies and books about the Civil War and WW II.

Survivors: Sister: Nancy Chestnutt of Allentown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Walter was predeceased by a sister Audrey Budihas.

Services: 10:30 am Monday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown. Call 9:30 – 10:30 am Monday in the funeral home. www.stephensfuneral.com. Interment with military honors will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown.
