Donald J. Gehman April 11, 1927 - August 26, 2024

Donald J. Gehman, 97, of Allentown, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at his residence at Legends of Allentown.  Born in 1927, he was the son of Dorothy (Laub).  Don was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country honorably in World War II and the Korean Conflict.  After his service, Don worked for 45 years for F.L. Smith Inc. before his retirement.  Don was a long-time Lutheran and was a member of Rosemont Lutheran Church and an associate member at Nativity Lutheran Church.  He was also a former member of the Allentown DeMolay and the Bethlehem Bach Choir.

Donald is survived by his sister, Fern I.C. Crone, nieces Sandra Hunsicker (Chip), Deborah Burke (Joseph), nephews Gary Crone (Tiffany), and Timothy Gehman.  He was a great-uncle to Kevin Hunsicker (Ronnette), Marcia Amey (Earl), Emily Burke, Amy Pirrotta (Christopher), Patrick Crone, Leah Crone, Rachel Nichols Bukowski (Conrad). He was a great uncle to several other great-great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Gehman, best friend Emerson Harding, and niece Pamela Nichols (Charles).

Services will be held privately.  Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
