Robert C. “Bob” Fleming, 68, of Boyertown, PA passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bronx, New York and was the son of the late Richard “Dick” and Roberta “Peggy” Fleming.
He attended Phoenixville Area High School and received a BA degree in Anthropology at Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. After graduating, he took a year off to travel around Europe, applying his studies. Bob was a former member of the John King Dance Band making great use of his piano playing skills. Bob thoroughly enjoyed walking surrounded by nature, was an avid gardener, and loved beekeeping. A walk in the woods with Bob meant you would learn something new. Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Richard J. “Rich” Fleming, and is survived by his sister, Kathleen “Trinka” Arnold, her husband, John “Jack” Arnold, Jr., sister-in-law, Linda Fleming, his long-term and very best friend John Albu, John’s wife, Wendy Albu, and John’s daughters, whom he loved as his own, Roxanne and Alexis Albu.
Services will be held at Bob’s Church, St. John-Hill United Church of Christ, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown on Saturday, September 8th at 11:00 A.M. A small reception immediately following the service will be held at the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
