Robert A. Muschlitz December 26, 1932 - March 10, 2023

Robert Allan Muschlitz, 90, of Allentown, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Nyda J. (Williams) Muschlitz. They would have celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary this August. Bob was born in Allentown a son of the late Allan B. and Margaret P. (Ritter) Muschlitz. He attended schools in the Allentown School District graduating in 1950 from Allentown High School. He received his B.S. from Kutztown State Teacher ‘s College in 1954. As a youngster he was affiliated with Dubbs Memorial Church where he developed his love of music. Bob was a former member of Bethany E.C. Church where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent and sang on the choir. He transferred his membership to Christ Lutheran Church where he served on the Council and sang on the choir. Bob was an avid singer with the Boys Choir, Central Junior High, A.S.D., Lehigh Valley Harmonizers and Summer Harmony. He was passionate about model trains, being a member of the Train Collector Association for more than 50 years. He was employed by numerous places including the Morning Call and 25 years for the tax department of the city of Allentown. Bob proudly represented his country serving in the Navy.

Survivors: Wife; son, Brett A. and his wife Kim Muschlitz; stepchildren, Debra Stevens and companion Gary Green and David J. Naus and companion Jamie Rothenberger; step grandchildren, Katrina Green, Rachel and Lauren Stevens; brother-in-law, Dr. James Ogier. He was predeceased by his first wife Janet M. (Ogier) Muschlitz.

Services: Funeral services to celebrate Bob’s life will be held Friday, March 17th at 10:30 A.M. in Christ Lutheran Church 1245 West Hamilton St. Allentown. Friends and family may call from 9:15 – 10:15 A.M. in the church. Interment with military honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown.
