Agnes L. Boyle February 25, 1929 - July 24, 2021

Agnes L. Boyle, 92, of Macungie, passed away peacefully July 24, 2021 in hospice care. She was the daughter of the late August and Esther Hower of Coplay. Agnes was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She was married to William Boyle 1950-1989. Agnes was an RN for the former Allentown Osteopathic Hospital for 25 yrs while raising 7 children. Nearing retirement, she became an avid painter and began taking her art more seriously, studying with several area artists, creating expressive abstracts in acrylic and watercolor. Agnes was a member of the Parkland Art League and Lehigh Art Alliance, exhibiting and winning awards in various juried shows. Until recently, she was a busy woman –  ballroom dancing, tennis, pickle ball and spending time with friends. Always surrounded by her close family, Agnes was happiest being involved in their lives and activities.

Survived by: Daughters: Mary Lou, husband James Fiske of Orefield; Kathleen DeLucia of Catasauqua; Jane, husband Tom Hallman of Macungie; Maureen, husband Richard Burger of Northampton; Chris Tise of Annapolis, MD; and Son, Tom Boyle of Bonsall, CA; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter Terry Boyle.

Services: Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 13th at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 416 South 6th Street, Emmaus. Friends and family may call from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
