Alfred “Al” Frankl November 27, 1939 - March 31, 2026

Alfred ‘Al’ Frankl leaves behind a legacy of love, artistry, and service.

Al, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Born on November 27, 1939, Al lived a full life marked by dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frankl and Anna Frankl-Keglovits.

Al is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Josie Beke, his stepson Cody and daughter-in-law Cathy, and his cherished grandsons, Jaxon and Archer.  He is also survived by his dear brothers, Joe Frankl, wife Ann, and William Frankl, wife Kay, and his brothers’ families, that include Joe and Ann’s son Jonathan, daughter-in-law Diana, and grandson Eric, and the children and grandchildren of William and Kay.

Al proudly served his country as an Army Airborne Paratrooper, demonstrating courage and commitment during his time in the military.  Following his service, he built an impassioned career as a skilled gem cutter, creating stunning custom jewelry designs that reflected both his precision and creativity.

Outside of his work, Al found joy in photography, bird-watching, music, and spending quality time with his family.

Al will be remembered for his steady presence, dry sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In accordance with Al’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. The family will honor his memory with a private celebration of his life.

In place of flowers or gifts, those wishing to honor Al are invited to make a donation to Wildlands Conservancy, a special place Al treasured exploring with his brother Joe.
