Andrea J. Rothrock April 8, 1942 - December 7, 2025

Andrea J. Rothrock, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, in The Vero at Bethlehem. She was the wife of Dale R. Rothrock for the past 53 years. They were married in London, England at St. James Church, built by Christopher Wren and they spent 7 weeks touring the British Isles.  Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Matilda (Cooper) and Martin L. Kern, Sr. Andrea was the great great granddaughter of the late Tilghman Cooper, the Jersey Cattle importer, in Coopersburg. Andrea was a graduate of Southern Lehigh HS and Long Island University/CW Post. She also took graduate courses at Allentown College/DeSales University. Andrea taught Social Studies and Government in the Catasauqua School District for 30 years before retiring in 1997. During her tenure, she started the girl’s field hockey program and was the first coach of the team. She was a very talented musician and loved going to New York to see concerts and Broadway shows. Andrea was an avid reader and was a member of the Avalon Yacht Club Book Club. She was a member of the Pomfret Club of Easton, the Rosemont Club of Bethlehem, and was an active member of the Republican Committee. Andrea traveled extensively, visiting 6 of the 7 continents. She enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore and spending winters in Florida. Andrea and Dale were avid college basketball fans and they attended the Final Four 4 times. Additionally, they attended the 1996 Summer Olympics in Georgia. Andrea was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg.

Survivors: Husband, Dale; Son: Peter J. Coughlin and his wife Sharon of Danielsville; Granddaughter: Ashley Bryn Coughlin; Brother: Martin L. Kern, Jr. and his wife Susan of Bethlehem.
