Ann P. Dioda October 26, 1935 - February 8, 2020
Ann P. Dioda, 84, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. Born in New Vernon, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Hanlon) Ponek. Ann received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Kean University in NJ. She was a safety specialist with the Red Cross at the National Headquarters in Washington D.C. Ann worked for the Red Cross for nearly 30 years before retiring. Thru the Red Cross, she trained many people in water safety, first aid and CPR worldwide. She was a former camp water front director and 13 year volunteer for kids with Diabetes at Camp Carefree in New Hampshire. Ann was a lifetime member of L.V. Active Life Community Center in Allentown. She was a former member of the Red Hats and the Emmaus Garden Club. Ann was an avid reader.
