Anne P. Mayer November 1, 1954 - June 18, 2018

Anne P. Mayer, 63, of Coopersburg, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Frederick C. Mayer, Jr. they would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary next month. Anne was born in Wilkinsburg, PA a daughter of Eileen (Zorick) Parry of Trafford, PA and the late Regis Parry. She began her career as an Executive Assistant with Air Products and Chemicals in the 1970’s and 80’s before retiring from Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley in 2017. One of Anne’s proudest accomplishments was receiving her degree in Business Communications from De Sales University in 1996. She was an active member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coopersburg where she served on the church council. Anne would like to be remembered as a person who “did her best, loved family and friends deeply, and tried to be a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.” She considered herself to be someone “who cared strongly about social justice and caring for our sisters and brothers who need help in this life.” She hopes that those she loved most will remember her as “a person of faith with a very grateful heart for the amazing blessings she received throughout her life.”

Survivors: Husband; mother; daughters, Julia K. Mayer of Charlotte, NC, Anne E. Finnegan of Schnecksville; son, Frederick C. Mayer III and his wife Carrie D. of Blacksburg, VA; brother, Chris and his wife Joni Parry of Cranberry Twp., PA; sisters, Jeanne Smith of Monroeville, PA, Sally and her husband Ted Lagattuta of Lower Burrell, PA; grandchildren, Aidan, Blake, Alexa and Reid; nieces and nephews, Malorie, Kristen, Jacob, Marina, Cara, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Carl, Kevin, Eric, and Alison.

Services: 11:00 A.M. Friday in the St. James Lutheran Church 333 Oxford Street, Coopersburg. Call 6:00–8:00 P.M. Thursday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 9:45 – 10:45 A.M. Friday in the church. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg.
