Arlene Esther Mann March 3, 1930 - September 17, 2024

Arlene Esther Mann died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in Phoebe Richland. She was 94 years old. Born to Russell I. and Dorothy H. (Baus) Mann, she lived in Coopersburg her whole life and served her community in many different ways. After Arlene graduated from what was then Coopersburg High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Kutztown and her master’s degree from Penn State. Arlene taught in Allentown for a year but spent the entire rest of her career of 37 years in the Southern Lehigh Elementary Schools where she established the first special education classes. Her first love was teaching reading! She was a life-long member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Coopersburg.  Aside from enjoying her job as an educator, Arlene loved arts and crafts and was also artistically talented. She was a member of the Pottery Guild and participated in the Senior Citizen Group of Coopersburg.

Survivors: Sisters, Fern L. Mann and Bernice L. Mann-Farris both of Coopersburg. Arlene was predeceased by brothers, Ray, Ralph, Rollin and Arcus and sisters Beatrice (Rev. Marshall J. Riu), Joyce, and Grace (Rev. Robert Roberts).

Services: A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 16th at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 6782 N. Main St, Coopersburg, PA.
