Arlene R. (Stahl) Scott May 5, 1950 - October 24, 2018

Arlene Ruth (Stahl) Scott, 68, of Coopersburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of David Scott. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary September 6th. Arlene was born in Johnstown, PA daughter of the late Eldon and Lillian (Law)Stahl. She graduated in 1968 from Conemaugh Township High School and received her B.S. in Music Education in 1971 from West Chester State University and her M. Ed. in 2006 from Wilkes University. Arlene retired as a music teacher in 2007 after 35 years of service in the Allentown School District. She was a dedicated Christian woman.  She attended First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, where she sang in the choir. Arlene was a member of SOTA, Toastmasters and was a tax preparer for AARP. She was a good listener, a hard worker and a sincere friend to many. She was a great conversationalist and was always able to add humor to many situations.

Arlene, we will continue to aspire to your example of how to be a humble, loving, honest, generous and authentic person who put everyone before yourself. We will miss all that you were in our lives but you live on in the best parts of who we are.

Survivors: Daughters, Katherine wife of Charlie Reiche of Mount Arlington, NJ, Abigail wife of Mathew Stalsitz of Allentown; son, John husband of Mercedes Scott of Upper Milford; brothers, Richard husband of Jennifer Stahl of Hailey, ID, Larry husband of Joanne Stahl of Davidsville, PA; grandchildren, Addysen & Whitman Scott, Karl & Martin Reiche.

Services: First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. Viewing in the church vestibule from 5PM until 7PM, Sunday, October 28th, followed by a Funeral service in the chapel.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Arlene’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown and to the Allentown Art Museum care of Stephens Funeral Home. www.stephensfuneral.com
