Axel Schuette December 29, 1927 - March 21, 2023

Axel Schuette 95, of Luther Crest, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Stephanie (Benn) Schuette with whom he shared almost 70 years together. Axel was born in Bremen, Germany. He was the son of the late Albrecht Schuette and Griet (Boes) Schuette.  He came to the USA in February of 1950.  Axel worked for many years as a carpenter, before operating his own building construction business. He resided in Summit, Watchung, and Stanton, NJ, and in Macungie, PA.

Axel was a member of the Stanton Reformed Church in New Jersey, where he served on the consistory and sang in the choir; and of the Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC in Alburtis, PA, where he sang in the Senior Choir. He was a member of the Hunterdon Choral Union and Voices for Charity. Axel loved tending to his garden, birdwatching, and carpentry.

Survivors: sons, Matthew Schuette and his wife, Christine, of Randolph, NJ, David Schuette and his wife, Loren, of Flemington, NJ; grandchildren, Blake, Carolyn, and Eric; He was predeceased by his brother, Wolfgang Schuette.
