Barbara S. (Simonsen) Blair August 8, 1930 - July 8, 2018

Barbara S. Blair of Emmaus, PA passed away on Sunday, July 8th in Lehigh Valley Hospital at the age of 87. Born in The Bronx, and raised in Yonkers, NY, she was predeceased by her mother, Gertrude Simonsen and father George Simonsen, as well as her younger twin sisters, Phyllis (Patsy) Simonsen and Dolores (Peppy) Simonsen. Barbara and her husband moved to the Lehigh Valley in 1960. A graduate of the Halsted School of Yonkers, NY and Berkeley College of New York, NY, she worked for the American Cyanamid Company located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY. Years later she was employed by Rodale Press in Emmaus, PA. Barbara was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church participating in Christian Education, Wednesday Morning Bible Study, The Hospitality Committee, American Baptist Women and represented the Church at the Ecumenical Food Bank for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Walter J. Blair, her son David Blair of Yonkers, NY and daughter Susan Blair, wife of Charles Bearish of Allentown, PA.
