Carol B. “Casey” Garrett January 7, 1948 - October 17, 2018

Carol B. “Casey” Garrett, 70, of Breinigsville, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown Campus.  She was the wife of Daniel R. Garrett. They would have been married for 48 years February 1, 2019. Casey was born in Havre de Grace, MD a daughter of the late Benjamin and Kathleen (Moffit) Burns. She began her career as a research assistant for the Library of Congress, she taught at Central Catholic High School, ran a Day Care from her home, had her Real Estate License and retired in 2013 as an Associate Director from Family Answers. She was a former member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown. Casey was a trainer for the Lehigh County Veteran’s Court, a Girl Scout Leader, Past President of the Parkway Manor PTO, was a founding member of the Pocono Lehigh Romance Writers Association and was a staff writer for the East Penn Press.  She and her husband cherished the time they lived in Luxembourg and traveled throughout Europe for several months. Casey enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and will be fondly remembered for assisting everyone who needed a helping hand.

Survivors: Husband; son, Robert B. Garrett of Allentown; daughter, Tara Beth wife of Jason D. Houser of Allentown; brother, B. Thomas husband of Jaki Burns of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Emma Lynn, Alexandria Jean, Brooke Bella Garrett, Gwendolyn K. and Benjamin A. Houser; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Philip and Anne G. Britton of Pennsville, NJ; numerous aunts & cousins.  

Services: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Nativity Lutheran Church 4004 Tilghman St. Allentown. Call 6:30 – 8:30 P.M Monday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and Noon – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church.  Interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown. www.stephensfuneral.com.
