Charlotte E. Stokes - April 21, 2025

Charlotte E. Stokes, 84, of Allentown, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1941, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion (Cooley) Bodine.  She is survived by her husband,  Richard W. Stokes Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Before her retirement, Charlotte worked as a paraprofessional for Parkland School District, Western Electric and St. Luke’s Hospital.  A woman of great faith, Charlotte was an active member of Bethany U.M. Church, where she sang in the choir and played in the bell choir.  In her spare time, she enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her family.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by her children, Cathleen E. Hall and husband Rev. P. Daniel Hall, Carol L. Hoffman and husband Dr. Andrew Hoffman, Philip D. Stokes and wife Elizabeth, Cheryl A. Kyte and husband Jonathan, grandchildren, Richard, Shaina (Blaine), David (Abigail), Philip (Malia), Elizabeth (Alex), Rebecca (Julio), Benjamin, and Thor, 7 great-grandchildren, and sister Shirley Haas. She was predeceased by her siblings, William, John, David, and Dawn.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM, Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA 18106. A viewing will be held before the service from 12:00-1:00.
