Charlotte Louise Smith Krasinski October 15, 1948 - June 14, 2022
Charlotte Louise Smith Krasinski, wife of the late Robert Edward Krasinski, entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2022, in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her two sons, Robert William and Brian Charles and her soul mate of 30 years, Daniel Reuben Fenstermacher.
Born October 15, 1948, on Brookdale Avenue. Charlotte was the daughter of the late Charles and Lorraine Swavely Smith. Donna Marie, wife of Fred Lutcher is her remaining sister.
Being an animal paramedic was Charlotte’s early dream. Bowling, Charm School, Junior Achievement and bicycle trips to Luxey’s and to her many friends’ homes were part of her teen years.
With Parkland High graduation over, Charlotte enrolled at Allentown Business School. Upon completion employed in fashion print designing and working for Lehigh Valley Dairy as a short hand secretary to name just a few. After marriage, the most rewarding career 24/7 was homemaker and raising her two beloved boys, the most challenging being after 1986 after losing her husband. In addition to concocting many eclectic dishes, Charlotte made her own baby food.
Performance in the hand bell choir; extensive alter calls where she became born again; greeting people with high exuberance; participating in deep soaking prayer with God chasers and counseling food pantry families were a miniscule of Charlotte’s life at Calvary Moravian, Calvary Temple, Trinity Wesleyan and Wellspring Community Church respectively.
Exhilarating train rides, Wildwood excursions, and Boy Scout events kept Charlotte hopping. Basking in the beauty of her rainbow color of flowers, her hearing the resonating tones of her wind chimes, admiring her angel collection and thinking of the first one Daniel gave her, made Charlotte love 5506 Schantz Road more. Charlottes love of her dogs extended to nurturing and loving a stray cat she named Whiskers.
Charlotte’s unfinished bucket list to be completed in heaven includes writing a children’s Christian book with buffalo and goat characters and tending to even a greater herbal and vegetable garden that she so desired while being with us.
Everyone has their unique story of how Charlotte’s pilgrimage became interwoven in their tapestry of life. Thank you, Charlotte, for granting that privilege. We will miss your cute dimples and far reaching smiles. We wanted you longer to be part of our temporary lives. God knew the appropriate time and rescued you after taking your last earthly breath and now you are having fully functioning lungs and heart, etc. Charlotte wants us to continue shedding tears – tears of joy.
Much thanks to all involved in Charlotte’s care at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network and to Rodney, Denise, and all at Stephens Funeral Home for navigating us through rough waters.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Robert and Brian Krasinski to help with future expenses.
Services will be held at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown, PA 18106, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. A calling period will be held at 10:45 AM with a service at 11:45 AM. A catered luncheon will be held following the services in Stephens Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. Robert, Brian, and Daniel would appreciate everyone staying to keep the memories alive of our dear mother and soulmate. There will be a procession to the beautiful Northwood Cemetery in Emmaus at 2:00 PM. All are invited to be a part of the comfort and peace that only Christ Jesus can provide of which Charlotte experienced on June 14. Our tears of joy will keep the memories of Charlotte alive for a very long time.
