Clayton E. Jones 1933 - 2021

Clayton E. Jones, 87, of Macungie was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus surrounded by his loving family. Ernie was the husband of Kay S. (Olsen) Jones. They were married for 67 years last April. Ernie was born in Fort Monroe, VA a son of the late Walter E. and Irene (Tomes) Jones. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving during the Korean Conflict. Ernie was a Computer Service Manager for Dataline, New Canaan, CT before retiring. He and Kay moved from New York to the Lehigh Valley after retirement to be closer to their family. He was an active member of the Millbrook Chase community and served on numerous committees. Ernie enjoyed building and flying radio control airplanes and was a long time member of the Kutztown Flying Field Club. He enjoyed gardening as well as singing with Summer Harmony. His love for the Lord led to his involvement with various Men’s Bible study groups. Most importantly he and his wife enjoyed visiting and spending time with their family throughout the United States.

Survivors: Wife; son, Steven E. Jones and his wife Denise M. of Seneca, SC; daughters, Kathleen Seehaus and her husband Dennis M. of Palm Bay, FL; Karen Hustedt of Alburtis Wendy Von Holt and her husband Robert T. of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley), Brenda (Max), Matthew (Summer), James, Kimberly (Andrew), Carly, Katie, Megan (Matthew), Jenny and Emily; eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Jefferson J. Jones (Bobbie) and great granddaughter Skylar M. Jones.

Ernie was a friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
