Colin Lee Hobson February 23, 1934 - January 19, 2023

Colin Lee Hobson, 88 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was the husband of Barbara (Kaiser) Hobson, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage and 70 years friendship.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of John S. Hobson and Edythe (Simmons) Hobson. Colin proudly served in the United States Army. Following that Colin attended Rutgers University.

Colin worked several years in the transportation and motor freight industry before becoming a successful, self-employed business owner.

In his spare time, Colin and his wife, Barbara volunteered delivering food for seniors for Meals on Wheels. He also volunteered for Boys Brigade with friend, Ray Mitchell to mentor.

young boys in their youth. When Colin’s son, Keith was an adult they both volunteered their time and money to go on a mission trip to Russia to spread the good news. When Colin was not volunteering, he liked to read, travel, going to the gym, watching his beloved sports teams, the Yankees, Broncos and New York Giants. Last, but not least Colin enjoyed attending Faith Church and getting involved in their activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, Barbara, his immediate and extended family and friends.

Colin was preceded in death by William and Anna Kaiser, Elizabeth Hobson, Erik, Donald, John, Mary, Allen, and David.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Faith Church 6528 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, PA 18106. Calling hours are from 1:00-2:00. The memorial service will begin at 2:00
