Constance R. “Connie” Davis, 73, of Fogelsville, passed away peacefully August 14, 2024, in St. Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Davis. Born in Coplay, Connie was the daughter of the late Hedy M. J. (Hocht) and Anthony J. Gartner. She was a graduate of Whitehall High School in 1968 and Kutztown State College in 1972. She taught 2nd and 4th grades within the Whitehall-Coplay School District for 15 years. Connie’s attention was then focused on her son and spent much of her time driving to and from youth sporting events, music lessons and band practices/competitions. Together, Connie and Don loved to travel. They shared a love for cruising, St. John USVI and Europe. Connie was a member of the U. C. C. Congregation of Ziegels Church where she served on consistory and in a variety of leadership roles and, most recently, became engaged with Vine Calvary Chapel. She was involved with Order of the Eastern Star, Weisenberg/Lowhill Township Historical Society and was the “Queen Bee” of her local Red Hat Society. She was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. Connie loved to garden, enjoy sunrises and sunsets in her gazebo, and entertain family and friends. Her greatest joy and most important hostings were tea parties with her granddaughters whom she adored. She loved watching them play sports, bake, swim, and go on fairy adventures together.
