Daniel A. Guzie December 9, 1957 - January 2, 2025

Daniel A. Guzie, 67, of Allentown, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Born and raised in Allentown, he was the son of the late Isobel (Knappenberger) and Anthony Guzie.

Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he met. Known for his generosity, he often opened his home to those in need. His booming laugh and infectious sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Gulf War and Desert Storm and continued his commitment to public service with the U. S. Postal Service where he worked for 34 years before retiring in 2017.

In retirement, Dan embraced the simple things in life. He was an avid bowler, a passionate golfer, a fishing enthusiast, and a devoted fan of horse racing. He also loved cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. Above all, he cherished his role as “Pop” to his three grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Dan is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxane (Patchinka), his daughter, Becky Keck and her husband, Geoff, of Emmaus, his son, Tony and his wife, Rachel, of Bethlehem, and his three adored grandchildren, Lennon (5), Nora (2), and Michael (9 months). He also leaves behind his brother, Dennis Guzie, of Allentown, his sister, Donna Gilbert and her husband, Tommy, of Enola, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Dan’s love, laughter and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services: 10:30 AM, Friday, January 10th, at STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 274 N. Krocks Rd. Call 9 AM until service time. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. *Feel free to dress in your Philly’s sports gear in support of Dan.
