David O. Parry December 19, 1929 - April 4, 2021

David O. Parry 91, of Allentown, went home to be with the Lord on April 4th. He died peacefully surrounded by loving family. He was married to Althea (Stickler) Parry for 72 years. They were high school sweethearts. He was the son of the late Owen and Violet Parry of Allentown. David graduated from Allentown High School in 1947. He was in the Air Force for four years attaining the rank of Staff Sargent during the Korean War. After his discharge he worked for Bethlehem Steel as Chief Clerk in the Metallurgical Dept. for 34 years. He was a family man who loved to be with them and grill dinner. He enjoyed sport activities with football being his favorite. David also enjoyed bowling with his Bethlehem Steel buddies. There were many vacation trips to Wildwood Beach with family and friends. In later years cruises and sightseeing in the States. He was active at his home church, Bethany E.C. Church, where he served as Sunday School teacher, Board Officer, and played trumpet for 50 years with the church orchestra. David was currently attending St. Matthew’s E.C. Church.

Survivors: Wife; Daughter: Marjorie Weaver and her husband Nevin of Palm Harbor, FL and Son John Parry and wife Jen of Newport, PA; Grandchildren: Meredith and Robert Belton of Columbia, SC, Kristin and Adam of Mechanicsburg, PA, Veronica and Ryan DeMarco of Wooster, OH, Juliet and Javan Small of York, PA, Gavin Oburn of Newport, PA; Great-grandchildren: Kendra, Jude, Noel, Danae, Colton, Amara, Andrew, Noah, Theo, Ethan, Susan, Violet. David was predeceased by his son Dennis D. Parry and by his brothers Edwin and Robert.

Graveside Services will be held May 1st at 1:30 pm at Highland Park Cemetery, 1441 Roth Ave., Allentown. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
