Don C. Krey August 8, 1942 - January 14, 2018

Don C. Krey, 75, of Lehighton, formerly of Allentown, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the Artman Lutheran Home, Ambler.  He was formerly married to Sylvia A. (Ilcisin) Krey of Marco Island, FL.  Don was born in Pittsburgh a son of the late Donald H. and Alice L. (Weitzel) Krey. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Class of 1965. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a pharmacist for Thrift Drug and Eckerd Drugs, Fogelsville for many years before retiring in 2008.  Don was an active and involved member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. He enjoyed the camaraderie of playing volleyball with his friends at both the YMCA and Muhlenberg College for over 30 years. Don enjoyed reading and was an avid golfer and sports fan especially to his beloved Steelers.

Survivors: Daughter, Karen A. and her husband David Vecchio of Naples, FL; sons, Christopher J. and his wife Amy G. Krey of Lehighton, Ryan G. and his wife Jill A. Krey of Villanova, and Don P. and his wife Christin H. Krey of Ambler; brother, Roger H. and his wife Darlene Krey of Pittsburgh; sister, Karen L. Krey of Shorewood, WI; grandchildren, Jasmine, Xavier, Donte, Emily, Olivia, Alexander and Sophie; and his dog Lucky his loving companion.

Services: 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the First Presbyterian Church 3231 Tilghman St. Allentown. Call 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Stephens Funeral Home 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the church.
