Donald A. Hausman, Jr. January 17, 1943 - March 14, 2025

Donald A. Hausman, Jr., 82, of Allentown, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg surrounded by family. He was the husband of Cheryl M. (Cichello) Hausman. They were married 57 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Betty L. (Haring) and Donald A. Hausman, Sr.

Donald was a graduate of Allentown H.S., class of 1960. He was an Air Force veteran who served from 1962 to 1966. Donald was an electrical designs draftsman at Air Products for many years and retired from GMA.

He was a lifetime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he served on multiple church committees and volunteered in various positions including sacramental deacon and usher. In his younger years, he was the manager/coach of the church softball team and the manager of the church basketball team.

Donald enjoyed camping and taking bus trips with his wife. They attended many Iron Pigs games together as season ticket holders.

Donald was most proud of his involvement in the Boy Scouts of America program. He was actively involved for over 65 years. Over the years, Donald served as Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master, Commissioner, and Camp Master. After retiring, he spent summers volunteering at Camp Trexler for 13 years. He received many awards including Eagle Scout, Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, Silver Beaver, Wood Badge, Shadow of the Eagle, and the Lutheran Church Lamb Award.

Survivors: Wife, Cheryl; Son: Andrew and his wife Linda of Whitehall; Daughter: Carol Kiefer and her husband Ron of Bethlehem; Grandsons: Jacob and Ryan Hausman of Whitehall, Cole Kiefer of Bethlehem; Brothers: Peter and his wife Tycha of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, James and his wife Mary of Allentown, Richard, Sr. and his wife Deb of Breinigsville.

Services: 11 am Saturday, March 22, 2025, St. John’s Church, 37 S. 5th St., Allentown 18101. Call 9 – 11 am Saturday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., www.stephensfuneral.com.
