Dr. Donald C. Seidel March 11, 1922 - October 21, 2017

Dr. Donald C. Seidel, 95, of Allentown, formerly of Hamburg, died Saturday, October 21, 2017.  He was the husband of Betty (Thomas) Francis Seidel.  Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Calvin A. and Helen M. (Lengel) Seidel.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Margaret (Shollenberger) Seidel, and his brother, Douglas.  A 1939 graduate of Hamburg High School, Donald graduated from Temple University and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and had his own practice in Hamburg for 42 years.  He proudly served in the Army Medical Corps in World War II and was a 32^nd degree Mason, a member of Vaux Lodge #406 F. & A. M., a 50 year member of Consistory, Valley of Reading, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hamburg.  Survivors: wife; daughter, Donnalyn S. Weiser and husband, David J., Phoenixville; grandchildren, Nikisha T.and Andrew R. Weiser; great granddaughter, Alize N.; loving step daughters, Dr. Cynthia Bechtel, Southboro MA, Lorraine Landis, Seipstown, Martha Nolan, Allentown.  Services: private.  Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.  Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 99 Church St. Hamburg PA 19526.
