Edward B. “Barry” Schearer August 27, 1945 - September 18, 2024
Edward B. “Barry” Schearer, 79, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th and Chew location. Born in Philadelphia Hospital in 1945, and grew up in Reading, PA. He was the son of the late Edward Henry and Mae Doris (Overholser) Schearer. Barry worked for 13 years as a respiratory therapist for Sacred Heart Hospital. He would then go on to work as a short-order cook for DiGiacomo’s Bar & Grill for 13 years, until his retirement. In his spare time, he loved watching TV, reading, and traveling. He also enjoyed caring for his beloved cats, P.J. and Shadow.
Barry is survived by his cousin, and primary caretaker Ario Reinert, and sister Linda Dalessio, nephews and nieces.
Services will be held privately. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
