Edward D. Beson November 25, 1947 - May 9, 2025

Edward D. Beson of Allentown, PA left this earth on May 9, 2025.  Born November 25, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan.  He was the only son of Ray Abram and Emily Catlin Beson.  Ed joined the United States Army in June of 1967.  After basic training and the required 5 parachute jumps he earned his “wings” and became a member of the 101 airborne division.  He was deployed to Vietnam in January of 1968 earning his first purple heart after less than 24 hours in country.  He was named “Warrior of the Week” in April.  Ed was wounded again in May and medevac’d to the states and to Valley Forge General Hospital in Phoenixville, PA.  Ed met his wife Sharon at the hospital and they were married in the Hospital Chapel on June 7, 1969.  Ed was self-employed as co-owner of Par-4 Golf Car Sales & Service in Allentown for over 40 years.  Ed and Sharon have two sons, Trevor Lee and Nevin Daniel (Andrea) and five grandchildren, Jayden, Tyler, Lacey, Leah and Landen.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 7PM in the Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Road, Wescosville, PA.  Calling hours will begin at 6PM.  Ed will be interred at the Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, PA at the convenience of the family.
