Edward W. Brecht October 18, 1939 - January 6, 2026

Edward W. Brecht, 86, of Allentown, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.  He was the husband of Sarah M. Brecht, with whom he shared over 40 years of marriage. Ed was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Drexel Institute of Technology with a Civil Engineering degree in 1963. He retired from James D. Morrissey Inc. – Eureka Stone Quarry Inc. in 2008 as a vice-president with 48 years of service.  He was also a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Since 1967, he was a member of the Harry A. Houseman, No. 717, Free and Accepted Masons, Bristol, PA, for over 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, two daughters, seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one brother.

Services will be held privately at the family’s convenience. Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
